Chief Development Officer / Chief Revenue Officer

Location: United States (Remote with Travel)

A fast-growing financial services and technology organization is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead enterprise growth initiatives, strategic partnerships, and revenue generation efforts. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, this individual will play a critical role in scaling the business, expanding market presence, and driving long-term commercial success.

This role requires a highly strategic and execution-oriented leader with a demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities, build high-performing teams, establish key industry relationships, and lead complex sales cycles. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the leadership team, helping shape overall business strategy while driving measurable revenue growth.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization's commercial growth strategy, including new client acquisition, channel development, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company's footprint across institutional, corporate, government, and financial services markets.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team focused on business development, sales, partnerships, and client growth.
  • Establish and optimize sales processes, forecasting methodologies, pipeline management practices, and performance metrics.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales engagements from prospecting through contract negotiation and implementation.
  • Cultivate relationships with senior executives, key stakeholders, industry partners, and strategic decision-makers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, finance, and executive leadership teams to align commercial objectives with broader organizational goals.
  • Assess market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging business opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop partnership and referral strategies that accelerate revenue growth and market adoption.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, client meetings, and executive forums.
  • Partner with senior leadership and investors on long-term growth planning and commercial strategy.


Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within business development, revenue generation, strategic partnerships, sales management, or commercial leadership functions.
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and scaling commercial organizations.
  • Deep experience selling complex financial, technology, treasury, payments, banking, SaaS, capital markets, liquidity, or enterprise solutions.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale enterprise sales efforts involving multiple stakeholders and lengthy sales cycles.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships and navigating sophisticated client environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial services markets and the broader fintech ecosystem.
  • History of building, managing, and developing high-performing sales and business development teams.
  • Exceptional executive presence with experience engaging C-suite, board-level, and senior institutional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
