The Team

Alvarez & Marsal's U.S. Tax practice is seeking an Intern to join the Tax Technology Strategy & Enablement team. This role supports the operational backbone of how the A&M Tax practice adopts and uses technology - keeping initiatives organized, moving deliverables forward, and building the internal resources that make training and tool rollouts stick. It's a hands-on coordination and content role with room to pick up light Power Platform work as you grow into it.

How you will contribute

Core, day-to-day (most of your time):

• Maintain and organize project trackers, status updates, and documentation across concurrent workstreams
• Support the development and upkeep of internal resources - SharePoint sites, training materials, reference libraries
• Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and internal communications for leadership and practice-wide audiences
• Assist with building and testing lightweight solutions using Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) or similar
• Contribute to change management efforts - drafting messaging, FAQs, and onboarding content for new tools and processes
• Conduct research on technology tools, vendor capabilities, and peer firm practices to inform strategy and roadmap decisions
• Support data gathering and analysis to track adoption metrics and training completion at the program level

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Information Systems, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, MIS, or related field; Master's candidates welcome
• Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-directed, comfortable when priorities shift
• Comfort in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Power Platform, Alteryx, or data visualization tools is a plus
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar)
• Strong written communication skills
• Genuine interest in how technology changes professional services work
• Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship, now or in the future. A&M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role.

Compensation Statement

The hourly rate is $40 per hour.
