A well-established private family office in Central, Hong Kong is seeking an Investment Accountant to support its diversified portfolio and financial operations.
The portfolio includes listed equities, investment funds, fixed-income products, structured investments, deposits and other financial assets. The company offers a stable, professional environment with direct exposure to senior stakeholders and external financial institutions.

Your new role
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for investment accounting, portfolio analysis and financial reporting for the family office.

• Maintain accurate investment records and reconcile portfolio holdings against bank and custodian statements.
• Analyse investment performance, income, realised and unrealised movements, and net-of-fee returns.
• Review investment fees, transaction costs and foreign-exchange charges to identify potential savings.
• Monitor asset allocation, currency exposure, investment concentration, liquidity and maturity profiles.
• Prepare portfolio reports and investment summaries for senior stakeholders.
• Maintain full sets of accounts, complete month-end closing and reconcile bank and intercompany balances.
• Support statutory audits, tax filings and communication with banks, auditors and professional advisers.

What you'll need to succeed

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Approximately 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in a family office or relevant background
• Experience in investment accounting, portfolio reporting, securities operations or performance analysis.
• Good understanding of equities, funds, bonds and other investment products.
• Sound accounting knowledge, including full-set accounting and financial reconciliation.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to prepare clear portfolio analysis and management reports.
• An accounting or investment qualification, such as HKICPA, ACCA, would be advantageous.
• Strong written and spoken English and spoken Cantonese capabilities are mandatory.
• A discreet, independent and detail-oriented working style suitable for a private family office.
