Two Sigma VP leaves for private equity engineering MD role
Senior technology jobs aren't quite as abundant in private equity as they are in banks or hedge funds, but PE funds still seem able to tempt technologists over from those sectors. The latest MD hire by private equity giant TPG is a long-time Goldman Sachs alum who spent the past four and a half years at quant hedge fund Two Sigma.

Lade King has joined TPG as its engineering chief operating officer. She spent the past two years as head of technical program management for enterprise platform engineering at Two Sigma, but was previously a product manager at the fund, leading its services engineering product management team. In her new role, she says she will help "strengthen and scale [TPG's] technology capabilities."
Like a great deal of private equity professionals, King spent some time in banking, but as an engineer rather than a banker. Most of her 12.5 banking years were at Goldman Sachs. King worked up from analyst to VP at Goldman before leaving to become an executive director at JPMorgan and its product lead for identity access management (IAM). She left the role for Two Sigma just nine months later.
Other than King, tech hiring at TPG has been sparse. Other hires include Tony Bradley, another ex-Goldman VP, who joined as a VP last month.
