We have been mandated by a leading financial institution to recruit a Legal Counsel supporting its Wealth Management business. This role offers exposure to a wide range of investment, financing, securities, and private wealth products, while partnering closely with business stakeholders on regulatory, transactional, and strategic initiatives.

Your new role

• Act as a trusted legal advisor to business and product teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide advice on regulatory, transactional, and reputational risk matters.
• Partner with business, compliance, and legal stakeholders on strategic matters.
• Represent Legal in internal forums and governance discussions.
• Support the Wealth Management business across a diverse range of investment, financing, and advisory products.
• Prepare and negotiate client-facing documentation, product terms, disclosures, and commercial agreements.
• Advise on private funds, structured products, bonds, brokerage services, custody solutions, and employee share schemes (ESOP).
• Provide legal guidance on business initiatives, regulatory developments, and cross-border distribution activities.

What you'll need to succeed

• 3+ years' PQE from a leading international law firm; in-house experience is a plus.
• Exposure to private banking, investment products, or financial services preferred.
• Strong experience in commercial contracts and business-facing legal advisory work.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
• Strong drafting, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates qualified in Hong Kong or other common law jurisdictions are encouraged to apply
