Our client is a globally recognized consumer brand with a strong presence across multiple markets. As the business continues to grow in Japan, they are seeking a hands-on and proactive Senior Finance Specialist to support financial operations, reporting, and business partnering activities.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager/Director, the Senior Finance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting business decisions, and driving process improvements.
The Role
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to business stakeholders
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal policies
- Support external audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls
- Participate in finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
Your Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, or controlling
- Experience within multinational companies and/or consumer-related industries preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
- Fluent Japanese (native-level) and business-level English
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment
